Dressed as a Girl

About this submission

Dressed as a Girl, is a short film that follows 13 year old Sam, who discovers the difference between a crush and gender envy when out on a date with her male classmate Cody. The film highlights the difference Sam feels when confronted with comparison to her female friend and then comparison with Cody. Focusing on that feeling of discovery, Sam is questioning her feelings and overall identity in every scene, and right as she's on the cusp of discovering what exactly she's feeling, the moment ends, until she reflects on her date in a daydream.
