About this submission

Wolf Cake explores the often overlooked mental health struggles that can fester unnoticed until they spiral beyond control. At its core, the film is about the tension between an individuals internal world and the pressures of external societal expectations—how untreated mental illness and the complex path to adulthood can silently consume a young teen/person. Through the character of Kayden, a 17-year-old on the verge of adulthood, the film examines the dangers of ignoring signs in mental health & the painful, irreversible consequences that can result when emotional struggles go unchecked. This midnight fantasy explores surreal symbolism and deep existential themes.
