My name is Cristiano Benussi, I’m twenty five and I live in Italy. I’ve always worked as a professional dancer and choreographer for various theater-dance shows, but for three years now I’ve given way to my passion for cinema. I studied and still studies on my own, trying to learn both from the theoretical and from the practical side. I immediately created various video-dance works, wanting to start from something I knew very well and then move closer and closer to the short film. Now I’m in a research for bring the dance alive inside a fictional product, using it for communication and not exhibition. I’m currently on my fifth short film, with numerous videos behind me. The short film "Wayfaring" was selected and reached the final stages for "Coorpi" in 2021. The short film “Araim Gaunil” was selected to compete at the “LiftOffSession” (London-Hoolywood) Pinewood studios in 2022. The short film "Daimon" was the winner at the Venice Film Biennale for the "RedPassionMovieContest" in 2022. The short film “Il quarto angelo” is being distributed by Tersitefilm; it has received an honorable mention at the "Rtf" United Kingdom and is in the official selection of "Mediterraneo Festival Corto", "Festival BTC", "Cefalù Film Festival" and others.
