This film is about the loneliness and distance of being a young person in the vast plains of the American heartland, and more so, about being an outsider in these spaces, much like I have been in my life. Being able to connect with others with different backgrounds, while still feeling like my time with them is limited. Such is a feeling that is fairly common for many youths in these settings. It can be deeply poetic and equally lively. I told this story with non-actors and people from my life, since then, they too have disappeared.
