Love can be described as the absence of understanding but certainty of a feeling. I figured the story of a boy falling in love with an alien was the most accurate way to depict this idea. The ignorance of the boy, making him obsessed of something he does not understand, something far from humanity. Where as the alien has no knowledge about the boy, but is continually reminded of this connection she has to him. I believe this is how all love stories start.
