Helloooo I'm Ava and I'm an actor/writer/director based in Los Angeles CA and Brooklyn NY. I got my BFA in Acting from CalArts. My work as a writer/director often takes on a dark-comedic and whimsical tone, centering oddball/misfit characters in all of their vulnerability. My short films Kitty Kitty and Cowards, and web series A Person Named Universal Love, have been featured in online-indie-film spheres such as MUBI, NoBudge, and Directors Notes. Cowards was also screened at The IFC Center in New York. I recently finished writing my first screenplay and am diving into my second :) Recent acting credits include the new play Calf Scramble by Libby Carr at the Ojai Playwrights Conference.
