I chose to tell Don Mario Aguinada’s story because it embodies resilience, faith, and the beauty of finding gratitude in the smallest moments. His journey—from a childhood filled with love but lacking resources, to enduring the trauma of war, to rebuilding his life in a new country—is a testament to the human spirit.

Through Milagritos de Dios, I want to capture the way he transformed struggle into strength and found joy despite immense hardship. His story reminds us that miracles aren’t always grand—they are often found in everyday moments, in perseverance, and in the connections we build along the way.
