I chose this particular story because I wanted to explore the complexities of friendship but also the depth of love and care you can have for a person platonically. Also how sometimes friendship breakups can hurt more than relationship breakups. I believe this is an underrepresented theme in cinema but is something a large generation of people can connect to. We’re not obligated to have friendships, but we choose them and are purposeful in nurturing, investing, and cultivating. So finding “your person”/soulmate within a friend is possible.
