I chose to tell this story because the voices of older women are often overlooked in a world that glorifies youth. "In My Day" explores the complex relationships between grandmothers and granddaughters, revealing how love, tradition, and patriarchy shape our female identities. My own bond with my grandmother, marked by both friction and deep understanding, inspired me to seek out other women’s experiences. By listening to those who came before us, we can bridge generational divides, foster empathy, and reclaim a shared female narrative—one that honors the wisdom, resilience, and enduring connection between women across time.
