I chose to tell this story because it is a personal and significant experience. I was a victim of childhood abuse, which deeply affected me. There were days when I was so scared to go home, but I didn't know how to ask for help or who to turn to. I wish my friends and teachers had known the signs and could have helped me. I want to share my story to process and cope with the trauma I experienced and raise awareness. I want to let others know they are not alone and that seeking help is essential.
