Seeking personalized advice, project feedback, or general guidance from industry experts? Connect one-on-one with a Sundance Collab Advisor in Residence.
Advisors in Residence will offer different opportunities, depending on their expertise. 30-minute sessions allow you to meet live online to talk about craft and navigating your career for $100. Level up with $300 60-minute sessions which offer the opportunity to submit work like an artist statement, pitch deck, or short film in advance for feedback in the session.

ADVISOR IN RESIDENCE OFFICE HOURS
- If you have general questions you’d like insight on such as career guidance, a 30-minute session should be right for you.
- If you’d like project review with feedback, please schedule a 60-minute session so your advisor has time to review and provide detailed feedback during your session.
- If you’re looking for feedback on a screenplay or pilot, we recommend you consider our self-paced or live online courses.
- Each Advisor in Residence may provide slightly different services. Advisors will review projects in advance to provide feedback during 60-minute sessions (ex: short film review, pitch deck review). Advanced project feedback is not available during our 30-minute sessions. 30-minute sessions do allow for conversation around works-in-progress or practice pitches, but advisors do not review work in advance.
- Advisors in Residence are not able to provide feedback on scripts, pilots, treatments, or outlines - if you’re looking for this guidance, consider one of our live online or self-paced courses, which offer feedback from advisors at various points during the course.
If you have another project not listed, please reach out to collabsupport@sundance.org to confirm whether our AiR can provide feedback.
- Please include a link to the project you’d like to discuss on the Calendly booking page. If applicable, include a password if needed.
- For documents, we recommend using Google Drive. You can upload a document there and then share a link. Set share settings to “Anyone with the link” to ensure the Advisor can see your work. If you aren’t familiar with Google Drive, you can find a tutorial here.
You can reschedule your meeting once with 48 hours or more advance notice. Sessions can be rescheduled by clicking the link in your confirmation email, pending the advisors' availability. If you see no times available, contact collabsupport@sundance.org for more information.
Cancellation refunds minus payment processing fees are available up to 72 hours before the scheduled event, as noted in section 2.3.4 of our Terms of Use. Sessions can be canceled by clicking the link in your confirmation email. Contact collabsupport@sundance.org for more information.
All of our Office Hours are conducted via Zoom. Please follow the instructions below to set up Zoom on your device:
- Join a test meeting from your computer or device you will be using during Office Hours by visiting: https://zoom.us/test
- Click the “Join” button
- Download and install Zoom
- If Zoom doesn’t automatically start downloading, click the “download & run Zoom” link
- Once Zoom opens it will automatically take you into a test call, where you can test your audio and video
Please update your Zoom software regularly.
To participate in your scheduled session, you can either join via Link:
- Click the Zoom link from the website or email,which will prompt you to open the desktop Zoom client or mobile app
- Zoom will open and the meeting will begin
