El Retorno De Las Animas

Each year, millions of monarch butterflies migrate over 3,000 miles from Canada to Mexico, arriving in Michoacan on the exact dates of Day of the Dead. To the indigenous communities that greet them, they are the ancestors returning, but this year the butterflies did not arrive.

Cada año, millones de mariposas monarca migran más de 3,000 millas desde Canadá hasta México, llegando a Michoacán en las fechas exactas del Día de Muertos. Para las comunidades indígenas que las reciben, son los ancestros que regresan. Pero este año, las mariposas no llegaron.
