In Bloody Felt, underneath the darker comedic tone and Muppet blood and gore, I wanted to teach a message about treating people with care and respect, despite their differences. Just because you don't understand someone, doesn't mean you can't respect them or treat them kindly. This underlying message was inspired by a film ethics course I took as part of my Film and TV Production education at USC. The countless stories about mistreatment and discrimination behind the scenes inspired me to make my puppet film about someone ostracized for their appearance and voice, and the possible consequences this may bring.
