As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, my parents' unwavering tenacity instilled a deep admiration for my culture, shaping my identity as a guiding North Star for the stories I tell.

In this film, I aimed to portray the dynamic and independent Latina women who surround me. Using these female characters, I explore themes of growing up, female connection, and bridging generational gaps to celebrate my heritage and community. Though rooted in personal and cultural identity, exploring the universal experience of navigating personal ambitions alongside family expectations is something I wanted to delve into from a female and Latinx lens.
