With the complexities of adolescent life amplified by the ubiquity of social media, we sought to tell a story that was emblematic of the changing experience of young lovers. In part due to the ambiguity of this shift, there is seldom accurate representation of this in media: the frustrating and confusing, crushing yet enchanting experience of young people as they navigate love today. With Cupid, we aimed to validate all of these experiences, utilizing music and theatrical techniques to fully depict the range poetic emotion surrounding young love and that all will be ok in the end.
