I chose to tell this story because it reflects the personal journey of confronting lost memories and the unsettling process of reconnecting with the past. *Veils* is inspired by my own experiences with nostalgia and the shifting nature of childhood memories. The loss of a loved one can force us to face those fragmented recollections, which often feel both distant and deeply meaningful. Through Robin’s journey, I wanted to explore the emotional complexity of seeking purpose in the wake of loss, while visually questioning the boundaries between reality and memory.
