This is a collection of three vignettes I created - inspired by my own struggles as a South Asian trans person in a Western society. A lot of my struggle with accepting my trans identity was actually because I did not know much about my own rich South Asian culture, and both became intrinsically linked for me. I want young queer and trans people of color to know and celebrate their indigenous queer and gender identities, as there is so much power and rooting in knowing that I inhabit an identity not novel or Western, but a legacy of centuries.
