The Umbra is an exploratory piece that looks to delve into memory, nostalgia, and loneliness. In making this, I sought to take the hero's journey through a primarily emotional lens, wading through topics that define my generation. As a gay, first generation immigrant from Venezuela, my reflection often shined back a disembodied figure. This was a deeply personal journey, tackling the task almost entirely on my own, but never without considering those with shared experience. The Umbra aims to put a mirror to its audience and let them decide what they see.
