Remembering the past can be painful—especially for those whose country has fought for its freedom for over a century.
This short film tells my story: the story of a grandchild of a man who was falsely accused and arrested during the Soviet era, a man who fought in World War II. It is also the story of a child whose father faced repression under the previous regime.
Today, as Georgia teeters on the edge of dictatorship, my mother carries the weight of those memories, reminding us that history still lingers in the present.
