I wanted to tell a love story that combined my obsession with bloody action with over-the-top wackiness. The star, Charlie Miller, is my childhood friend, and we've been making films together since high school. After spending the past two years working in the industry, I felt the need to reconnect with the fun, wild spirit of filmmaking. That’s how the insane, blood-soaked tale of Pookie & Peanut came to life.
