About this submission

When art is created through sexual reproduction, a woman brings a painting into the world—a creation that, to her dismay, everyone else thinks is ugly. Proud of her labor, she lovingly cares for the artwork, nurturing it like a child: feeding it, reading it stories, and even taking it to the art museum in hopes it will find its place among the celebrated masterpieces. Yet, when her painting fails to garner any admiration, it becomes clear that her creation is a misfit.
