Moonlight is an experimental short based on Li Bo's poem Quiet Night Thought, which explores his feelings while looking at the moon. Taking inspiration from its themes of longing, distance, and connection, Moonlight uses circular motifs—from the moon itself to overlapping compositions and camera lens—as a metaphorical thread connecting the moon as a universal companion, the concept of home, and the cyclical nature of human emotion and memory. Through its experimental approach, it creates a meditative experience that bridges traditional Chinese poetry with contemporary visual storytelling, exploring how the shared experience of looking at the moon connects people across time&space.
