I chose to tell Laundromat because as I became more aware of the world around me, I got the sense that many people put on facades. Particularly, in the downtown city of Chicago, I found that a lot of people would present themselves in a certain light, just to get something out of a person that would benefit them more than the other. With that thought in mind, I thought it would be perfect to revolve around a script, and I've always wanted to shoot in a laundromat so this was perfect.
