A COVID test result, an overworked homemaker and my struggle with depression: 'In a Slumber' is a story about a family in isolation. But sometimes isolation also means that the bigger picture gets lost in mundane, everyday tasks. The film charts the trajectory of my experience of living with COVID and explores themes of loneliness, desire and mental health. I try to make a case for a more nuanced understanding of the crisis and probe what love/loss means in a country sliding towards fascism.
