I chose to tell this story because I wanted to highlight the resilience and unseen struggles of women in the marketplaces of Duhok. These women, who navigate both economic and social challenges daily, are often overlooked in cinema. Through this film, I aimed to capture their strength, the rhythm of their labor, and the quiet defiance in their presence. As a filmmaker, I believe in telling stories that give voice to those on the margins, and this film is my attempt to bring visibility to their experiences in an authentic and intimate way
