I've always been fascinated by how violence is passed down from one generation to the next, especially when tied to masculinity. My intention was to show how messed up it is to normalize violent behavior patterns and that's why I chose the point of view of an innocent child that looks up to his parents (especially his father) and imitates him in the worst way possible. My goal with this short film, and in cinema in general, is to cause a discussion in the audience about human nature and behavior.
