About this submission

“For Trinity” transforms urgent issues—corporate control over food and climate instability—into an intimate story of grief, power, and survival. As a Chinese-Canadian writer-director and adoptee, my perspective is shaped by cultural hybridity and resilience, filling a gap in speculative fiction where women’s voices remain underrepresented. This film reflects today’s struggles through a near-future lens, following one woman’s fight against an unstoppable system. A pivotal step in my career, “For Trinity” aligns with my goal of directing feature films and global co-productions that challenge the status quo and bring underrepresented voices to the forefront through bold, cinematic storytelling.
