When my youngest brother left for college, my parents became empty nesters, and from my point of view, hilarity ensued. "Well, I moved rocks around in the backyard today," my mom would say, with my dad chiming in, "and I sat in the hot tub". Suddenly, for the first time since the 90's, my wildly busy parents were able to stand still, bring their heads above water, and take a breath. EMPTY NEST is my directorial debut, and a love letter to the folks that made me, imagining what might go on in a house with parents, but no children.
