About this submission

The story follows the religious ceremony of a dying communist father, which turns into a flashy show of wealth and ego by his capitalist children. Greedy gurus exploit the occasion, mixing tradition with greed to make it a display of power. Meanwhile, women are confined to the kitchen, highlighting the grip of patriarchy. The film contrasts old traditions with modern ambitions in a humorous yet absurd way, exposing how sacred rituals are turned into performances and how a family’s values clash with their father’s ideals, revealing the hypocrisy in society.
