I made Blueprint as a reflection of my own toxic habit towards creativity and how it impacted my previous relationship. I wanted to portray the dark side of a creative’s hunger for inspiration and explore the extent of one’s desire to succeed. It was important for me to focus on the obsessive tendencies of aspiring filmmakers and depict the challenges that arise from having no boundary separating your life and work, as it was in my own case - exploiting those closest to me, not out of malice, but out of a desire for inspiration.
