I wanted to explore the life and perspective of an inanimate object, namely my family's beloved Bob's Discount Furniture Chofa, Bettie. Bettie is a silent companion in our house, with her room containing a small eco system of activity. One moment it's our cats quietly laying there, then it's a party of people chatting, next my dad sleeping, then nothing at all. There is an infinite amount of things happening there, with only one constant throughout, this beautiful teal couch. Bettie lives in a little world, one humans are not privy to, but in this film, we get a glimpse.
