I created this story in memory of Kobe Bean Bryant, my favorite basketball player of all time. He was famously known for having "Mamba Mentality". Mamba Mentality is the constant effort to be fearless, despite the odds against you. The protagonist in this story is often haunted by a reflection of herself projecting doubt in her athletic albitites. She overcomes her hallucinations of self-doubt and prevails in the end. This story proves that the only competition you truly have is yourself.
