I wanted to tell a story in a different format that what might be expected, leading to the split screen. The split screen also emphasizes the idea of that there can be both happy and sad endings. With so many films, tragedy is the only thing the audience is left with at the end, so I wanted to find a way to give both the tragedy and hope at the same time. It's about the moments we have, not the ones we've lost.
