Icing on Her Cake

Creator: Cedric Christophorus
In the summer of 2023, I moved to a temporary sub-lease place to save money upon graduation. Jobless, I searched for the cheapest housing option without knowing who I was living with. All I had was their phone number. Our schedules never aligned and I was only able to know them through groceries and text. Subconsciously, I automatically made assumptions about their gender and race. And I was gravely mistaken. “Icing on Her Cake” is my reaction to this experience.

Rhythmic Exercise with Priadi

Creator: Cedric Christophorus
Rhythmic Exercise with Priadi is both an ode to my childhood nostalgia and a critical reflection of growing up in an environment that blatantly endorses toxic forms of masculinity. It is an attempt to uplift narratives and forms of media that are rarely represented in Western media, while also being transparent about their hidden flaws and shortcomings fueled by the male gaze. With this in mind, welcome to the early 2000s Indonesian media. Sit back, enjoy, but don't be relaxed.
