Yahoo Boy is an ode to the ages. It's a glimpse into the psychology of the black youth of Johannesburg. Satirical and authentic, the project intends to create a world of unpolished characters who are unflinchingly themselves. Gritty, raw and honest, projects like Atlanta, Triangle of Sadness, and City of God rode this approach perfectly. In terms of pace, this should play like a comedy and cut like a thriller. The tone feels like we're eavesdropping on a South African conversation with itself, and are bearing witness to the inner workings of a generation at odds with its true identity.
