Paolo Cesti is a Cuban-American filmmaker based in Miami, Florida. His work revolves around showcasing the intimately human side of Latinx culture as a means to deconstruct depicted stereotypes and to reassess the mainstream misrepresentation of Latinx people. Cesti has worked on award winning projects that have screened at festivals such as trinidad + tobago film festival, TIFF, Miami Film Festival, and more. Having the privilege of working alongside award-winning independent artists, he noticed that the industry had little to no artists that reflected his community.
