At first I had just an inexplicable urge to make this horror movie set in the Bermuda Triangle of the Tri-State-Area: Newark, New Jersey. But upon making it, it's clear that I made it because my EMT friend. He would tell me plainly of gruesome life or death scenarios he would be witness to -- he went numb, numb but stoic, like a tough guy. My intent was to explore the impact on one EMT by a system that lacks the financial, emotional, and psychological support the people doing this job deserve, through an allegorical tale.
