The Model Minority is a dark comedy about how a toxic work environment forces a young Asian-American woman to break out of the box that her co-workers have set for her. Just like the main character, I've experienced microaggressions in both school and in the workplace. I've come to realize that the model minority mindset is harmful to Asian-Americans in these modern times, and I wanted to highlight this issue particularly in the workplace. I believe there is power in embracing your culture and identity, and strength in not allowing others to bully you or hold you back.
