Dani returns to their hometown years after Ricardo's passing to take stock of how much her life has changed, and how much it hasn't, in a handwritten letter to him. Dani struggles with her memories from her old hometown. They are filled with idyllic love and naivete, but also with the glaring reality of death and misfortune. It's hard to come back home, and even harder to ever leave. The idea of home is complicated and this story is a real, but tragic reality for many of us.
