Every day I have the most meaningful encounters with dining staff workers at my university -- they serve the food with midwestern love and take care of us as their own. I realized that taking a moment to see them as people, instead of workers, changed my perception of our relationship and fostered a conversation I never realized would be so touching and inspiring.
