When I wrote this film I was feeling lonely and a few days prior, I watched the movie "Her". I was inspired by the idea of AI and loneliness and how when someone is in need of attention, any attention would suffice. Whether it's human or not. I wanted to see how far AI can go and if it would be able to manipulate a lonely man into falling in love with it. I was also interested in making a short in that world that Spike Jonze created.
