“Stripped” is a coming-of-age family drama that explores themes of polarizing belief systems, filial loyalty, and personal integrity. It centers on Myra Hirsch, a loyal Modern Orthodox Jewish daughter. When Myra announces her acceptance to Cambridge over Shabbat dinner, a power struggle erupts between her and her father, who prefers she attend university in Jerusalem. For the first time in her life, she takes a stand and leaves the house. She ventures into the center of London alone, and discovers the shocking extent of Jonah’s hypocrisy, ultimately learning the strength of her personal integrity, and her relationship to Judaism.
