The journey of making the short documentary Art Kyzy was challenging and exciting for me as a first-time filmmaker.
The prior goal of the film is to share stories of female artists from Central Asia. This is an intensely personal piece for me, being a young female filmmaker from Central Asia and trying to find my artistic voice. This piece resonates with many women that I have met in my life. It talks about struggles that women face while being artist, and what kind of help they seek.
