Originally from Russia, I moved to the United States 7 years ago. I was studying abroad in France when the war in Ukraine started and suddenly thousands of refugees arrived in Europe looking for an outlet to speak out and share the horrors of war. This documentary is my way of protesting the war, giving the voice to the refugees who live in the United States who possibly gave up the last hope of returning home. This documentary ventures beyond conventional narratives, exploring Ukrainian identity, featuring unheard testimonies, history of the "brother-nations" and direct address to the American audience.
