Esperanza is a young woman who finds out she has endometriosis and can’t have kids. This problem comes to light at a baby shower Esperanza is throwing. This film is heavily influenced by the stigmas surrounding the hispanic culture and the cultural norms hispanic women are supposed to abide. This story is being made in hopes that more women will feel comfortable in their own skin, despite the cultural restraints that are placed on them. I hope a young minority will see that not being able to have kids doesn’t make them any less of a women.
