Who is our art really for? Do the ends really justify the means? SECOUER is a film about why we pursue artistic endeavors. A dancer asks herself these questions, growing increasingly somber and isolated. This premise is inspired by my own struggles with passion. I often asked myself if my art would have any meaning for anyone else but myself. I worked on this film to portray the importance in satisfying yourself as an artist before anyone else. Only then can your art touch others in an authentic and satisfying way.
