Baltimore native Cal Moreno is a Mexican American writer and director. Realizing the East Coast was too humid, Cal traveled west to study film production at the University of Southern California. There, Cal wrote and directed various projects including the Student-Emmy winning series, CON. Cal’s latest short film, NUMBER 2, a dark comedy about his own personal diagnosis with Crohn’s Disease, was awarded the Panavision New Filmmaker Grant and has screened at festivals across the world. When he’s not making his own films, Cal spends his time working at Industrial Light & Magic to pay off his student loans (and learn visual effects from some of the coolest people on the planet).
