I wanted to make the most indulgent film I could by weaving my disparate interests (acne, aliens, and Alfred Hitchcock) into a cohesive and compelling story. I also wanted to push myself artistically and make a film with a drastically different style and tone than I usually express myself with. Finally, I wanted to tell a story about a South Asian girl whose identity has nothing to do with the main conflict. I wanted to present a main character with her own unique trials and tribulations, who just so happens to be South Asian. Thank you for watching!
