Catherine Alderete is a recent first-gen Mexican-American graduate from UC San Diego. Growing up in Los Angeles, particularly in the San Gabriel Valley, her dream was always to become a filmmaker. She is deeply connected to her Mexican-American community and is driven to help others from her city succeed in pursuing their aspirations.
