This Film was one I felt had never been told before through film and something called me to do it as if it was my duty. I decided to make my film on my Hula Halau: Kekaiulu Hula Studio, taking footage I already had of me and my Halau hanging out as well as our practices and performances, with a voiceover from my Kumu, telling the story I felt, was a good fit to show day to day life and the importance behind what makes Hula, what it really is at its core.
